To raise money for Sports Relief we completed different activity stations set up in the hall by Mr Metcalfe. We had a go at boxing, jumping hurdles, hula hooping, hockey and the ladders. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. A massive Thank you to everyone who donated!
In class 5 we have spent the last few weeks focussed on measuring. Thank you for supporting your children at home through the homework activities sent home which have reinforced what we have been doing in school.
Mrs Wills here! I have recently had the pleasure of taking over in class 5. After returning from maternity leave I am bursting with enthusiasm, and ideas for this half term. I can’t wait to get to know the children, discover their interests and learn lots of new and interesting things with them.
I am available to speak to briefly most mornings on the front yard as children are preparing to come into school. Please come and say ‘Hello
Class 5 have been learning all about celebrations this term. We visited the cenotaph at the local park and participated in group reading and a prayer for those who fought during the war and lost their lives .In class the children created poppy wreaths and crosses to commemorate the soldiers alongside doing some fantastic writing about life during the war and the heroes that helped us. To celebrate the end of our remembrance week throughout school the children in year 1 also took part in their very own 1940's street party.
